Nestled in the charming village of Janas, near Sinatra, Quinta de San Michel enjoys breathtaking views over the Sintra Mountains. Located in the historic Colares wine region, between the mountains and the Atlantic Ocean, the estate benefits form a unique microclimate that produces exceptional wines with a true sense of place. Established as a family project, the vineyard began in 2013 with indigenous grape varieties, including the rare Malvasia de Colares, one of the few grape varieties in the world to survive the phylloxera epidemic. In 2023, the estate expanded with five additional hectares, reinforcing its commitment to preserving the region’s unique wine making heritage.
